Do your emotions affect your body?
A pain in the neck or back; itchy palms; cold feet… Not a day goes by that our bodies don’t “speak” to us through tickles and tingles, headaches and bellyaches etc…
Have you ever noticed a connection between twitches and twinges, shaking or lower backache and unnoticed emotions? Perhaps it is the body’s way of conveying underlying unnoticed needs.
During this weekend retreat, we will be exploring the connection between mind and body through discussions and direct experience, using techniques from the Mindfulness toolbox such as relaxation, meditation, reflection, gentle yoga, and walks in nature.
You are welcome to come for the long weekend (3 nights), or for two nights.
Your Facilitator:
Vera Hey is a mindfulness practitioner and an experienced mindfulness facilitator. She uses the insight and awareness gained from her mindfulness practice in her personal life and in her career as a psychological counselor. She is a student of Rob Nairn, international Mindfulness and Meditation teacher, and has completed his facilitator training course.
Cost:
The cost includes the accommodation of your choice, all vegetarian meals from Friday supper to Sunday lunch, a facilitator fee, and a voluntary environmental levy of R60.
