Close Encounters in the Bushveld guided by Eckhard Druschke
March 5 @ 6:00 pm - March 7 @ 1:00 pm
Join Eckhard (and Jennifer) for a bush getaway, where we will explore the Fauna & Flora of Tara Rokpa Centre and the surrounding environment. We will take the opportunity to stargaze under the pristine Bushveld night skies and to watch the close encounter between Mercury and Jupiter.
Bring your walking shoes and binoculars, field guides and note books, and swimming costumes to enjoy some time in the bush. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
In the evening Eckhard will talk about our amazing Southern African sky, identifying various constellations, planets, and stars, while also providing a little insight into our vast and fascinating universe.
The costs include accommodation and all meals from Friday evening to Sunday lunch. It includes an R60 optional environmental fee but excludes dana (an offering to the facilitator for his time and expertise).
