DESCRIPTION:Theme: Bardo ‘we are such stuff’ \n“We are such stuff \nAs dreams are made on\, and our little life \nIs rounded with a sleep.” \nShakespeare: The Tempest iv.i. \nI haven’t written anything very extensive as theme. I tried a few but felt they were too wordy. Maybe the less said the better. I’ll talk mainly in the context of bardo teachings. I think this will do as a notice – Dónal. \nDónal has kindly offered to run a virtual retreat for the Southern Africa Centres from 12 – 20 March 2021. Participants will need to register to obtain the link. \nParticipants will join via ZOOM \nBookings open 1 Feb 2021\nAlthough we will all be attending remotely\, we will need to keep in mind that we are essentially on a retreat\, and should thus conduct ourselves accordingly (even if we are attending from our homes). \nPreliminary Schedule\nStart:  \nFriday 12 March 2021\n7.00 pm to 8.00 pm – Opening session \nDaily Schedule:\nSat 13 March to Fri 19 March \n6.30 am to 7.30 am – Meditation\n9.00 am to 10.00 am – Teaching\n10.30 am to 11.30 am – Meditation\n3.45 pm to 4.45 pm – Meditation\n5.00 pm to 6.00 pm – Q& A/discussion\n7.30 pm to 8.00 pm – Concluding Meditation\n8.00 pm to 8.30 pm – Compassion-based meditation \nFinish:  \nSaturday 20 March\n6.30 am – 7.30 am Meditation\n9.00 am to 10.00 am – Concluding session \nCost\nThere is a suggested registration fee of R960 for non-members. (You will be advised as to how the payment may be made). \nAbout Dónal Creedon\n\nDónal Creedon is a Buddhist meditation teacher with many years’ experience\, loved and deeply appreciated for his warmth\, openness and sincerity. He studied and practiced with Buddhist masters of the Kagyu practice lineage in Europe as well as in India and Nepal. This involved many years of intense retreat. Dónal also spent a number of years at the Krishnamurti Centre in Varanasi as resident Buddhist scholar. Thus the radical inquiry of Krishnamurti informs his approach.
